What's Next?
What's next you ask? I plan to continue to provide superior clinical service to individuals transitioning out of state hospitals back to the community, I plan to move forward with using tactful interpersonal communication, continued self-evaluation, and motivational interviewing techniques as I progress in this chapter of my career, and continue to move forward and serve the Commonwealth in ever more meaningful ways.
Longer-term goals include obtaining a certificate in Motivational Interviewing and seeking post-graduate specialty in Public Health. I continue to research programs that will help me achieve my continued education goals.Â
I would love to become the type of leader that is able to not only guide staff through procedural and clinical work, but also educate. I have worked with many supervisors over the years, who have allowed me to learn from them, through troubleshooting problems, and just having the time to listen. I believe any agency is only as strong as their workforce allows, and with empowerment through continued learning, achievement, and guidance, I believe I can provide strength to my agency, the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board.
